Our curriculum was designed to focus on three major components:
Bible Doctrine, Practical Ministry and Leadership Development. This unique focus works together to enable students to formulate a bible-based, practical philosophy of ministry that can be implemented in various domains of Christian service. In an effort to produce well-rounded ministers of the gospel, the GNU curriculum is made up of both courses and practicums that work together to develop passionate and capable leaders with developed gifts and talents.
Our course and practicums overview is available below.

GNU PRACTICUMS
HELPS
Our Helps practicum is designed for students to receive hands-on experience in ministry, as well as to promote the development of their giftings and calling through serving in various local church departments. Through Helps, students serve their local church in their area of skill or interest three times per month. The majority of Helps assignments take place during regularly scheduled Good News Chapel services and enable the student to develop a variety of practical ministry skills.
WORKS
Our Works practicum exists to provide students with hands-on experience in vocational ministry within different departments at the local church. Students can be assigned to pastors or to GNC faculty and will perform tasks based on each department’s needs. Department assignments are changed twice yearly to maximize every student’s practical ministry portfolio. All full-time GNU students participate in 4 hours weekly. Scheduling is based on the student’s availability as well as the needs of their department or leader.
ROOTS
As individuals training for the full-time ministry, GNU desires to instill within all of its students the importance of the local-church body and its functions in the family of God and the community. As such, GNU seeks to keep all its students rooted to the operations, functions and vision of Good News Chapel Montreal through three key focus areas: prayer, discipleship and church integration. All GNU students will be assigned to and participate in one of three GNC ministries that highlights one of those areas: Red Doors, New Believers Class & The Prayer Team or Centre.
SOULS
We beleive winning the lost is foundational to the work of the ministry, and the heartbeat of our Saviour, Jesus Christ. As such, our Soul Winning Labs are designed to provide students with the oppurtunity to engage lost people and win them to Jesus. Students will be involved in street evangelism, outreaches, flyering, preaching opportunities and various campaigns to bring the gospel to the city. Teams are sent out every Thursday afternoon, and one Saturday monthly.
